Fuck it. Let's start.

I wonder how many opportunities I have missed or put on hold because I was so caught up in the idea of 'getting it right.'

Fuck it. Let's start.

Well, here we are, my first blog post.

I’ve probably already spent more time thinking about starting this blog than I needed to. What should I write about? How should it sound? What should I name it? How should I design it? Is it good enough? Will anyone even read it? Am I sure this is what I want to write about?

Maybe I should wait until I have a clearer vision, a better plan, and a few more things figured out.

Or… fuck it. Let’s start.

I know I’m not the only one who gets caught up in the idea that everything needs to be perfectly planned before starting. We tell ourselves we’ll start when we have more time, more knowledge, more confidence, when the timing is better, the plan is clearer, or we finally feel ready. Those feelings never completely go away.

There comes a point when planning, researching, preparing, optimizing become a trap. It becomes an endless cycle of productive procrastination.

That perfect moment doesn't exist, so I stopped looking for it.

This blog has been years in the making. I once wrote a five-year plan for this blog. I had titles for my first fifty posts and a detailed plan to grow and scale. That plan is now more than five years old, and this is day one.

I wonder how many opportunities I have missed or put on hold because I was so caught up in the idea of 'getting it right.'

We'll leave the imposter syndrome for a separate post. It is alive and well right now, but 'fuck it' is helping me push through those doubts and fears.

This post won’t be perfect, far from it. At some point, I'll look back and cringe at this.

That's okay.

That is still a victory.

This blog will evolve into something different from what I envision today.

That's the point.

I don't have everything figured out. I don't even have my second post planned. What I do have is the willingness to start.

Instead, I'm starting messy, learning as I go, and letting go of the pressure to have everything perfectly figured out.

This is my first post.

It's not perfect.

And that's exactly why it's published.

Here's to finally saying fuck it and just starting.
